Fair Share

I consider myself a kid a heart...well most of the time anyway.  So when we made plans with some friends to go to the Coastal Carolina Fair I was pretty excited. I haven't been to one in quite some time and I've actually never been to this one in particular.  It has been around since 1957 and takes place in Ladson, SC.

Now I have to say, I am not a big fan of the rides. I'm not crazy about heights or getting that "lose your stomach" feeling. I do enjoy the food, people watching and the money sucking games that draw you in all for an over sized stuffed animal. On Monday night we were off to check out the scene!

First on the agenda was something fried....and at the fair, the choices are endless.  There was fried cheese, fried pickles, fried kool-aid, fried okra, fried avocado, fried green beans, fried well you get the point.  We went straight for the fried pickles.

And then we sampled the fried Mozzarella Fingers

Oh I almost forgot, there were deep fried gummy bears too! We passed on those....

We did give the fried oreos a try, and I have to say they were pretty good.

We basically ate a lot of greasy food, played a few games, the boys rode some rides and we caught the end of the fireworks show..not a bad way to spend a Monday night.
