Weekend Recap & Ramblings

Hello Monday, we meet again!

Friday evening was spent just as I had mentioned it would be. Whit and watched The Interview and despite some of the reviews I read, I thought it was pretty good. I felt that it was a nice combination of humor and controversy.

Saturday afternoon we made a quick trip downtown. It was a little chilly but too beautiful outside to stay in doors.

I was beyond thrilled to discover that Urban Outfitters carries my all time favorite dry shampoo. Believe it or not, this stuff is hard to get your hands on given that it's always sold out everywhere. It really is the best!

We stopped in Lowcountry Olive Oil and sampled a few of their many products.  I had never been in this little shop before but I'm glad I finally checked it out. There were so many olive oils and vinegars to choose from. Although I left empty handed, I think I will be returning to get this Spicy Mushroom, Garlic & Onion Olive Oil.

Btw, right now they are offering a $10 coupon for $20 worth of merchandise.

Check out this amazing sunset we caught a glimpse of on our way back home!

Saturday evening was spent with friends gathered around a table of steamy hot oysters.

Sunday we did what millions of other Americans were doing and watched indulged in junk food around the TV patiently waiting on the half time show.

And speaking of half time....how awesome was Katy Perry's performance?!? The costumes and special effects were amazing and not to mention the guest appearance by Missy Elliot.

Given my love of pizza, I felt inclined to make this Supreme Pizza Dip to take to the party. I found this on one of the blogs that I follow. You can get the recipe here.

In between all the activities that we had going on this weekend, I somehow managed to spend some time in the kitchen and whip up a few other recipes that I will be sharing later this week, so stay tuned.

Have a great week!

  1. Who would of thought Urban sold Bastiste?! I have the hardest time finding that stuff! TJ Maxx used to sell it but either everyone buys it before I get there or they just don't sell it anymore! Looks like you had a great weekend!

    1. I have the hardest time finding it as well. I am so glad I came across it in Urban Outfitters. I never would have guessed that would sell it.
