Resolutions vs Reality

2015 is coming to a close, and with that comes resolutions. Most people make them and most people break them. I'm not trying to be negative, I'm just being truthful. It is always nice entering the beginning of the year bright eyed and hopeful with the feeling of a fresh new start. And I actually do think it's a great idea to make resolutions. I believe specific resolutions are more attainable than broad resolutions. For example, commit to losing x amount of weight rather than say you're going to begin going to the gym more often. Make sense? I also think it's a good idea to write your resolutions down, so you have a reminder of what it is you're trying to achieve. With that being said, this post isn't about listing my resolutions, instead I thought I would make light of the situation. Don't be so hard on yourself when resolving to make changes in your life. Strive to make more specific and attainable resolutions this year. You might be surprised with the outcome. Here's a look at some of my past (broad) resolutions versus reality.

Resolution #1: Eat Healthy
January 1st-get rid of all of the junk food left over from the holidays

Veggies and lean protein on the grocery list.

A few months later...

Resolution #2: Workout More

Walk into the gym intending to do this...

What actually happens in the gym...

Let's be real...

Resolution #3: Drink more water and less alcohol...

After a long day..

Resolution #4: A plan to organize the closet...

Getting rid of things seems easy...

A few hours later...

Resolution #5: Save money...

Then your girlfriends invite you to happy hour...

You only plan to stay for two drinks...

But you have so much catching up to do...

A liquid dinner seemed like a good idea at the time...

A few days later...

Logging in to check your bank account balance...

Cheers to a new year full of attainable resolutions!

  2. Resolutions are too hard. You can't just change your life that drastic in one day. It doesn't work! Great last pic, I love me some Leo!
