Blueberry Delight aka "Frozen Dessert"

For Thanksgiving this year I decided to make one of my childhood favorite desserts. I always use to request that my mom make her "frozen dessert." And I mentioned in yesterday's post that I would be sharing a recipe with you.

I'm not the best baker, which is why I love this particular dish...no baking required!  This recipe is super easy and is sure to satisfy your sweet tooth.

With a typical holiday line up of cakes, pies and cookies, this ice cream like dessert is a nice addition to the table.

Starting with the wet ingredients pour the blueberry pie filling in the bowl first.

Add in the condensed milk.

And stir together

Next fold in the cool whip cream.

Mix until all ingredients are well blended together.

Add in blueberries and chopped bananas.

The blueberries were frozen, but fresh are fine too.  Most of the fruit that I have on hand is frozen because I use it in shakes.

Gently stir in the bananas, careful not to mash them. The bananas were frozen as well.

Once everything has been mixed together, pour into a freezer safe baking dish, cover and freeze for at least 24 hours.

Remove from the freezer right before serving.

Blueberry Delight
Ingredients
1 16oz container of cool whip
1 can of condensed milk
1 can of blueberry pie filling
2 ½ cups of chopped bananas (about 3 whole bananas)
1 cup blueberries
Instructions
1.       Using a large mixing bowl, pour 1 can of blueberry pie filling in first.
2.       Next add 1 can of condensed milk and stir together.
3.       Fold in the whip cream, making sure that all clumps have mixed in well.
4.       Once all of the wet ingredients have been mix together, stir in 1 cup of blueberries. (mine were frozen, but fresh works just as well.)
5.       Chop the bananas into bite size slices, about ½ an inch in thickness. Gently stir them into the mixture careful  not to mash them. (My bananas also happen to be frozen.)
6.       Once everything has been mixed well, pour into a 9x11 freezer safe baking dish.
7.       Cover the dish and freeze for at least 24 hours.
8.       Remove from the freezer about 5 minutes before serving.
