FYI, they have some of the best beef carpaccio. It's topped with a red wine Dijon vinaigrette, capers, pecorino Romano and served with a grilled baguette.

The cream sauce that comes with the NY strip is delicious, and I'm sure it was figure friendly.

There was dessert too, but I forgot to take a picture due to the food coma setting in.
Unfortunately for me, Saturday was spent cleaning up my neglected space I call home.
Saturday evening we had our company Christmas party at Cottage on the Creek. We had quite the spread of food. There were tenderloin biscuits, French fries with pimento cheese, sweet & tangy shrimp, and Cajun chicken corn dogs for passed hors d'oeuvres. For dinner we had oysters, buttermilk fried chicken, lowcountry shrimp and grits, macaroni and cheese and salad. Needless to say, we didn't leave hungry. I didn't get a single photo that evening (I was not on my photo game this weekend) however, I do have a few pictures from the menu tasting.

Since I was only "window shopping" for shoes I thought I would share some of my favorites that I came across in store and some that I've been eyeing online lately. I tried on these Jessica Simpson Cinco Booties from Belk and loved them...too bad they didn't have my size. These Charles Jourdan Color Block Y-Strap Pumps from Saks Off 5th are classy with a bit of sass. I've been searching for some fun leopard print shoes. These Ellen Tracy Smoking Slippers are gorgeous! Just another beautiful pair of booties Belle by Sigerson Morrison that I'm drooling over this season. Last but not least, these Alani D'Orsay Flats from Banana Republic come in 3 perfect winter shades. They also have 40% off your online purchase with code BRMERRY40, but hurry it's only through tomorrow! |
